Dr. O’Hara received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and his Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of Delaware. He earned his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Michigan State University.

I consider it a privilege to be invited into an individual's world at a time of need and work hard to build a trusting alliance with each person. I carefully listen to my clients and engage them around the unique stories they share so we can set goals and a treatment plan that is personally tailored to each individual and/or couple. My approach is a positive relational one such that I use our therapeutic connection to build on each person's strength.
I have been fortunate to work with clients from many different life paths, including health care professionals, clergy, students and international business people. The type of problems they have brought include anxiety, addiction, depression, sexual issues, marital conflict, work and career stress, parenting concerns and health and life transitions.
I have provided executive coaching to senior leaders and business owners from the private and public sector and offer consultation to multiple organizations. Clients find my direct and solution focused approach to be affirming and empowering. My commitment is to provide the highest quality services based on their unique needs, values and resources.
